CSDS post-poll survey says Achuthanandan best CM

Kochi: The CSDS post-poll survey by the Centre for Study of Developing Societies (CSDS) done exclusively for  The Week, Manorama News and CNN-IBN says Keralites consider V.S. Achuthanandan as best suited for the post of Chief Minister.

Sixtyfive per cent of those surveyed said they are satisfied with the performance of the V.S. Achuthanandan-led LDF government in the state.  The respondents in the survey also pointed V.S. Achuthanandan as the best chief minister. While 38 per cent wants V.S. Achuthanandan as Chief Minister, 25 per cent of the people support Oommen Chandy for the CM's post.

In 2006 around 35 per cent of respondents had supported V.S. Achuthanandan as Chief Minister. Those who supported Oommen Chandy for the post of CM in 2006 was 31 per cent.

The survey was carried out by CSDS headed by noted psephologist Yogendra Yadav. The CSDS team collected the data for survey from 220 centres in 55 Assembly constituencies in the state. There were a total of 3133 respondents.
