Adaminte Makan Abu (2011) is a national award winning film in Malayalam. The film bagged the best film, actor, cinematography and background score awards announced on 19 May 2011 in Delhi.
Salim Kumar got the National Award for Best Actor. The film is being directed by debutant Salim Ahmed
.Salim Kumar plays the title role in the movie. He plays Abu, who has been dreaming of performing the holy pilgrimage to Mecca, despite severe financial constraints. Zarina Wahab essays the role of his wife. Mukesh, Suraj Venjaramood, Nedumudu Venu, Mala Aravindan, Thampi Antony and G Ravi are among the cast. Madhu Ambat cranks the camera and Ramesh Narayan scores the tunes
