Kerala CM Oomen Chandy's office goes live on Internet




Thiruvananthapuram: Keeping the pledge to offer a transparent governance, the functioning of the CM's office went on live today. The inauguration of the system was done by the CM. From now on the CM's office would be functional 24 hours and Malayalees round the globe can watch live functioning of the office through www.keralacm.gov.in. Mr Chandy informed the live telecast would be available 24 hours.

A special section would be there for the people to submit their complaints. The CM informed he would be in office till 11 to 12 pm and officers would be on duty even after that period to pick up phones. Common man can submit complaints through phone also and action, would be initiated soon after receiving the complaint.

Proceedings of the CM's chamber along with the press briefings and other meetings held by the CM would go live on the net. A special provision is there to submit suggestions for vision 2013 idea bank.

The live webstreaming on the chief minister's new website would be inaugurated Friday in the presence of cabinet ministers and other top officials, a press release issued Thursday said.

"This was announced by the chief minister himself last month and the new webstreaming would include a host of new features as compared to what he did in 2004 when he became the chief minister the first time," said the statement.

Surfers logging on to a Kerala government's website will be able to see the functioning of Chief Minister Oommen Chandy's office starting Friday thanks to live webstreaming.

With greetings for your initiative to communicate with the public , i hereby have a humble request to the ministry to take care of the welfare of the keralites irrespective of caste , colour , religion and sex... i put forward to consider the wealth and treasure of sree padmanabha temple, tvm to be distributed to the keralites equally without any reservation to anybody .Hence your ministry have to think about my humble suggestion. Hope my suggestion will eradicate the poverty of all keralites by receiving this portion of God Sree Padmanabha's gift as a token to them which will be a direct blessing to the keralites ...Please consider this suggestion to put into effect by your ministry inorder to avoid to go this treasure to the unwanted hands.....
